So we have a new announcement from Modiphius (http://www.modiphius.com/star-trek.html), one which caught my attention and held it in place like the M-113 creature in disguise. From what I understand, if you're going to GenCon, you get to choose your ship for the playtest and get either a collectible Kirk or Picard mini. It's going to use the Modiphius 2d20 system, which I'm unfamiliar with, and it will cover the TV series as well as the TNG movies, but NOT the J.J. Abrams movies (aka the Kelvinverse).

As someone who owns the LUG and FASA versions of the game, I'm excited and intrigued by this. I've already signed up to Modiphius' mailing list for more info on the public playtest - is there anybody else here looking forward to it?

Ooh, neat! Been a while since the last Star Trek RPG.

Oh yes, I am interested. I can always use another Star Trek RPG, especially since Traveller Prime Directive is still vaporware at this point.

If they're using a house system that they also used for a Conan-type game, I'm skeptical about how it would be better than just adapting one of the abundant generic systems out there, but I guess we'll see.
