I know there's been some discussion about converting FASA Trek into Traveller®.

Has anyone done any mapping? FASA uses 2D co-ordinates. Seems like it would be pretty simple to enter them into Galactic 2.4.

I have no plans to. Mapping missions were proven to be boring as hell, if Star Trek: First Contact is any indicator. Besides, It's not really necessary to know the exact distance from Qo'noS to Earth, as the ship travels at the speed of plot.

In any case, you are correct in that the FASA Trek map should be easily mapped to Galactic. Will it be accurate? Probably as accurate as any other non-canon publication.

Just now saw your Star Trek: Alpha Quadrant. Can't wait to check it out :)

Do you have any Designer's Notes?

Not really. The closest to it would be Chapter 16.

Yeah, I saw those conversion notes after I posted that message. They'll probably answer some of my questions.

I like the idea of using Q as Game Operations Director.

Ask away. I have no issue answering questions.

I haven't finished reading it yet. :) Some of the answers to questions I might have are probably located in the later chapters. I'm trying to read it straight through. Only on page 45 so far .

I see Starships & Spacemen only has 102 pages vs. 160 for ST:AQ. You're already doing better than Goblinoid Games. :D

You'll probably end up doing better than whatever Modiphius comes up with as well. It'll certainly be a whole lot simpler to learn.

If they're not, I'm sure you'll tell me.

I think I've found a typo and a possible mistake in the Cepheus rules. You've got the damage for a sword listed as 1d6 on page 48. I'm pretty sure that should be 2d6. It was 2d6+1 in CT77. Cepheus lists 3d6 as damage for a cudgel. It was 2d6 under all versions of CT. 2d6 seems to make more sense. Clubs were also 2d6 under CT. 2d6-3 in the '77 edition.
