I figure we should have a sister thread to the "today I am mostly listening to..." thread.
But with game related stuff.

So today I reread the SW saga combat rules to pick up on mistakes I made in Fridays game.
And undercoated some stuff for hordes of the things, and quick little wargame I want to "sell" in my group.
I have a daemon with wings, a Dragon Ogre Shaggoth (will be a chaos god in HotT terms) a beastman warband for chaos and a wizard for my arthurian/brettonian/medieval army. That'll give me enough painting to keep going for the week I'd say.
I also have a base of Celts I can finish basing now the clay is dry.

So what's everyone else up to?

I am tinkering at my Pandora setting (yet another water world colony ...)

The setting starts without aliens, but there is a mystery concerning
almost identical animal species on different worlds that may lead to
a first contact or the discovery of precursor artefacts, and today I
designed some of the animals.

And then there is this Commercial Entity stuff from Mongoose Travel-
ler Merchant Prince, which I use as a background metagame to deter-
mine the colony's income and its available money for new equipment
and so on (again no starship this year, several poor quarterly results
in a row ...).

And finally there are a few maps to improve, I still dislike the colours
of the planetary map, and I do still not know where best to put the
volcanoes and deep sea trenches.

Yep, that's it, more or less. ;)

Writing more of System Book 1: Katringa for Spica Publishing :)

By the way.... this topic idea is thoroughly approved of, and verily stickied unto the top of the forum!

Finished the weapons chapter of Hard Burn, tidying up the expanded rules and equipment sections right now. Next up: Characters, including the Memetic Engineer, the Archeologist, and the Adept.

You mentioned this earlier, what's "Hard Burn"?

Today we have the design of an airship, a timeline spanning 40.000 years of
(pre-) history, an attempt to get some logic into all the background "fluff",
and a close look at the old German Lodland aquatic science fiction game to
see whether it has some interesting ideas that can be "borrowed". :)

Did a bit more work on some deck plans for a Spica Publishing book in the pipeline. Having trouble getting the hatch* to stick on the fuel tanks for some reason. :?

*That's "hatch" in an AutoCAD sense, not "hatch" in a spaceship sense.

Old Spacer Proverb: "Don't count your fuel tanks before they are hatched." :?

1. Designing some civilian vehicles that I hope to see posted in Mongooses Signs & Portents

2. Reading an Honor Harrington book (Yes, I am late to this party, I discovered them on Baen's Free Book site)

3. Finishing up the outline for a short story that I will be writing soon.
