Hi, everybody.

My name is Chris. I´ve been an SF fan ever since I got a short story collection starting with Asimov´s "Marooned off Vesta" when I was a kid, and a Traveller fan ever since I found the old Megatraveller computer game. I have only been playing tabletop RPGs for about ten years or so, though.

I look forward to many interesting discussions with you guys - though to be honest, getting here was already worth it before my first post got approved, just for making me aware of Stars Without Numbers (and to a lesser degree, Cascade Failure).

Hello Mr. Chaos and welcome to SFRPG!

Our SWN section (which I probably had a hand in making) is slow, but so far the only (and therefor the best!) one there is!

Hi,

I've been playing and GM'ing sci-fi RPG's since about 1984. Started out on Traveller after my initial discovery of RPG's with D&D and then AD&D in 1983, and have pretty much played, GM'd or at least read pretty much every sci-fi RPG released since.

Current games on my 'pull down and read' shelf: Mongoose Traveller, Alternity Star*Drive & Dark•Matter.

Living and gaming in Gillingham, Kent, UK.

Welcome Vy! Hope you find SFRPG to be entertaining! It's good to finally see another AD&D player on these boards for once :)

Good evening all,

Quick hello as I get my bearings with the board, very much liking what I'm seeing. Kicked off with Traveller in the 80s but took a (lengthy) break picking up again about a year ago. Currently playing in a couple of groups, one online t'other just outside of London where I live. Might turn my hand back to GMing with one group or another in the future but am happy playing for the moment. Like my sci-fi gritty and fairly hard but it's good to add a dash of hand wavium...

:-)

Tim
