Pardon my resurrecting the dead thread...
I feel compelled to comment because I have so many boardgames, and have only rarely been able to convince anyone to play them. Also I find I have limited memory available for absorbing rulebooks, and as a result I really have to cram prior to a game.
I had tons of games once, lost almost all of them, and have slowly rebuilt a collection and added to them. I have most of the Traveller-related board games, Star Fleet Battles/Federation Space, Noble Armada, The Company War, Battlefleet Gothic, Twilight Imperium, Battlestations and the Ogre Designers Edition. I cleverly purchased a couple of Firefly games for my daughter, so I'd get a chance to play, along with The Captain is Dead. So I've got to play a little bit, but she doesn't have the "game bug."
As someone mentioned, I thought I might find some methods of playing online, but none of that has panned out yet. I have Vassal, Tabletop Simulator, and I understand some folks have used Roll20. So there may be some hope yet. Otherwise some garage sale shoppers are gonna get all these when I finally go.
