Wales (Gwynedd, specifically). Not a moment too soon - our head librarian just resigned, too, "coincidentally" shortly after the government told schools to check their library stock for non-CCP friendly books, and universities have started divesting themselves of pro-democratic teaching staff. Disturbing how quickly HK went from an essentially free society to a police state, though it's given me an idea for a cyberpunk-ish game ...

Well, I don't think there's any danger of me being arrested or anything like that. I'm not high-profile enough and for the last couple of years I have been very careful of what I say and to whom. But it will be nice not having to be that careful any more.

Plus I expect much time to be spent having fun. ;)

Ugh, it's been almost two years since I started this thread. Hope everyone is still doing as well as they can. Fingers crossed that omicron proves to be less severe and that its future mutations continue that trend.

It's still potent enough to kill the unvaccinated and the vulnerable (I was wondering why anyone was calling it "mild"...)

I'm just hoping the inevitable "Omega" variant that'll probably happen at some point won't be as ominous as it sounds!

Had my booster this afternoon, so far so good. Wish I could vaccinate my three year old.

Journey back from the doc's took me thru Louisville, from the road I couldn't see so much but 7 colleagues at work have lost their houses. :|

Sorry, my post lacked context. I live in Boulder, Colorado, Louisville is the next town over in the Denver metro sprawl.
