The software seems to like .PNG format files :)

Would it be possible to get my avatar switched from the one on the Avenger boards to the one on the CotI boards? I like the Tukera symbol a whole lot more than the rather ... androgynous avatar here. Thank you!

I tried to load an avatar, and it thinks every graphic file I try is "an attack vector".
(my apologies to Ken Burnside)

Any suggestions?

Does it not like .png format? The last software update seems to have got a bit paranoid about file formats...

You can either put the image up at a URL and link to it that way, or email it to me and I'll do that for you on the SFRPG server. Email addy is in my profile :)

I know it seems like a small thing, but uploading an avatar on this site is really quite buggered.

When I tried to upload it as a .jpg, it stated that it was expecting a .gif.

Fine, fire up GIMP, convert "avatar.jpg" to "avatar.gif", and now it refuses because it is a "possible attack vector"...

Really?

I mean, really?

I was finally able to "link off-site" the image (again, it only seemed to like a .gif format), but I really think there is something going on with your install or something.

Yes, there's something weird on going with uploading avatars. I have no idea what it is though, all the settings look fine and I couldn't find any other solutions beyond having to upload it remotely. If we find a solution we'll implement it but til then I'm afraid everyone's going to have to upload them remotely.

I don't know why everyone is having all these problems, my avatar is just the same .jpg file I use everywhere else. Ah, the mysteries of IT ...
