Ugh, why do these film-makers think that 5 minutes of actual story need to be padded out with 15 minutes of... nothing (and then unsurprisingly the end is left hanging as it does in a lot of these films).

Because that's cheaper and easier to film than actual plot and dialogue?

Well it wasn't just literally nothing, there was completely irrelevant tosh. In Emissary there's this basically irrelevant flashback subplot about leaving someone behind that could have just been done with one or two scenes. Plus it made no sense - if they lost the revolution then how exactly did she end up being sent on a ship to find the people who fled the tyranny, and why on earth would they want to come back if they'd lost in the end anyway?

I dunno, it didn't really make any sense to me. Also she apparently didn't know how to scan a system to miss where the rebels were that badly.
