Syfy have cancelled SGU :(. The last 10 eps of Season 2 will show but that's it.

I am so very very pissed off now. Syfy can burn for all I care - all they do is produce idiotic monster movies that cater to the lowest denominator nowadays, and there's no way I'd make the investment of time to see any more of their series (including the new BSG one) because they're just going to kill them before they're done anyway. So screw 'em.

What? TBH I was fearing this would happen. I keep seeing it described as controversial and divisive on magazine covers. Reading how there are people who hate it.
I don't get that. Best thing since Battlestar as far as I'm concerned. Far better than the other stargate shows.
*sigh*
I'll miss it. Especialy now that producers of a similar series will now be gunshy.

The bastards didn't even tell the cast and crew beforehand - they heard about it when everyone else did on twitter.

Yeah, I heard about this yesterday. :o

Caprica and SG:U, but they keep WH13 and Eureka?????

Don't get me wrong, those shows are fun, but what serious Science Fiction does SyFy have left?

Oh yeah, Scare Tactics...

I'm pretty mad that it's cancelled, but at the same time I think the real problem is the Syfy audience. They'll gladly watch the "Syfy Originals" garbage like Sharktopus in their millions, but they don't seem to want to follow the mature, serious, intelligent scifi shows like SGU or Caprica. I think it's a very worrying trend because at this rate we'll just lose all the decent SF from TV and just be left with the drek.

YEAH and BOO

SG-U has started up again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah

This will be the last 10 episodes, and "brings things around full circle" - BOO

So, another great series being cancelled by SyFy (I'm looking at you Caprica!). Apparently, there was too much SciFi for SyFy.

I still haven't had a chance to watch the new ep - I should be able to sit down and do it tomorrow, been too busy all week! I hope they can close the story fully anyway.

I never could get into SG:U but I'd really rather have ... well, not that, but something closer to it (or maybe something based on Eclipse Phase) than Sharktopus.

And I'd like to know why in the HELL Syfy airs WWE, and I mean AT ALL.
