For the science behind the science fiction:

Atomic Rockets

Winch's main site (Project Rho) includes other useful bits, such as a discussion of 3D mapping.

Winchell's site is really good, but be careful of his databases of nearby stars. It is very incomplete and many of the entries are no longer accurate (especially for stars within about 100 ly). Sol Station and the RECONS data are best for nearer stars.

BUT, the formulas that Winchell gives for conversion of RA and Dec to XYZ are good.

This is a guide to mastering GM fu, and is a fairly generic RPG aid to help GMs set things up smoothly. Since it's a generic RPG aid it, by definition, helps SFRPG GMs too and belong here.

Signs and portents is a house mag from mongoose that frequently has SF related articles in it, often for traveller. It's not bad, and almost as good as some earlier paper mags like Challenge.

Yeah, I quite like Signs & Portends. I might be getting nostalgic for the golden age of British RPG mags ... :)

As for me, I miss GDW's "Challenge" magazine, typos, bad copying, poor artwork and all.

Before I found out certain unpleasant truths, I loved "Space gamer" magazine too.

I must echo DB's reply, and add:
Huh??

The Unpleasant truth I referred to was that the guy running Space Gamer wasn't someone I wanted to send money to.
