Hey Everyone, hope this is an appropriate question.

I need an adventure that is an alien base/ship/warehouse that has been long abandoned, but is still full of tech, traps, robots, etc. I would think there would be a ton of these; I'm just not sure what exists in this genre.

I looked at converting the GW module Gamma Base, but it's a really crappy adventure.

Thanks!

Well, here's an idea. There a Classic Traveller adventure called 'Shadows', which has very old, Alien pyramids on a deadly planet with an insidious atmosphere. Now, in the original, there's not a lot of stuff to find; the adventure is you have to deactivate an old laser array so your ship can take off without getting shot down. So here's what you can do:

You take the floor plan, and you fill it to the rafters with tech, traps, robots etc. The basic idea being that another group came long after the original inhabitants left/died out, and used this place as a treasure hold/weapon depot/whatever stash.

That way, if you happen to get some wise guy player who's played the adventure or got it just to be 'one of those' players, they'll be totally flummoxed.

See, this is exactly what I was hoping for, thanks.

No chance of my players knowing any of these modules; we are actually playing an AD&D campaign that I have turned on its side.

I just have no familiarity with Traveller or other SF RPG adventures, either published, in magazines, or free. So this type of suggestion is perfect. Thanks again

'Tartarus' for Ashen Stars is a team sent to find out what happened to the last team that went to investigate an alien base. (Basically it is a sarcastic response to the movie Prometheus - the PCs can find out why apparently sane scientists would do dumb things like try and pet the slimy alien snake-beast).

There's a short scenario called "Derelict Encounter" for FSpace Roleplaying, which is about an alien ship drifting in space. It'll only work in a game with psionics in it. There's a TPK bit in it which I suggest you replace with something less lethal!

Take any D&D-type dungeon and "reskin" it, magical artifacts/effects become alien tech, monsters become alien beasts and/or robots/cyborgs. This is for example how I converted a Sword & Wizardry dungeon adventure with undead/cannibals/demons to Stars Without Number sci-fi:
