Yeah, if I were feeling kinder I'd call it quaint but I guess it keeps distribution cheap. I get that there may be concerns about illegal distribution of IP but it's in a digital format (you know, like a CD-ROM is) and the cat is out of the bag on that front and you need to be looking at alternate revenue streams...

You can get most of it off DTRPG now, but the price of the CD-ROM is a way better deal.

Yea, it would be nice if it was all available on DTRPG/RPGNow, with a bundle price equal to the CD-ROM price.

And then give all of us that have already purchased the CD-ROM a coupon to get the bundle for free.

Updates then become much easier to manage.

Some of you may be aware that, as an experiment, I've started up a collaborative venture over on the OD&D - Campaigns and House Rules Discussion forums to put together a subsector using only the 1977 edition of Classic Traveller. Primarily this means using the "jump routes", which disappeared in the second edition, and it's mainly to see what effect they might have on people's imagination when fleshing out the worlds.

There's still plenty of room for more world-grabs, if you're interested:

Hmm, and I guess I never posted my comparison notes here...

And I'm participating in the vile's experiment also...
