Wow, this is my first post after lots of lurking. OK, here goes... :)

The idea is for a compact short-endurance (< 24 hours) civilian utility craft that emphasizes speed over passenger or cargo capacity. It is intended for routine errands and a variety of short-run tasks carrying both passengers and cargo from ship-to-ship and ship-to-surface. I have designed and stated it out as a 20 dton gig in the GURPS Traveller Starships design sequence.

The drawing was all done using CC3 and Cosmographer3, with the exception of the exterior views which were done in Sketchup.

Welcome back, but er, can you shrink the image somewhat please? (a) it's huge on the screen, and (b) it's 4.3MB. That's going to eat into forum bandwidth! I'd rather it wasn't over 1MB in file size.

Oops sorry. I meant to just post a thumbnail but didn't quite do it correctly. Hopefully this fixes it.

Thanks. This one was mostly done to learn the software. I wanted to start off small before moving on to bigger ships.

Well you seemed to have mastered it. Very nice, we want more now though. :D

Lovely design, and the sketchup views are a nice touch.

Is this a Mongoose Traveller vessel? I'm wondering how it can be so cheap compared to the 20 dton Launch in the main rules (MCr 14) and High Guard (MCr 13.569) which have much poorer performance. Engines are usually a major expense for spaceships.
