I don't have the picture with me, but it is described in the Aslan book.

It is a crescent blade weapon. Basically a curved sword. At first I thought it was like a Bat'Leth from Star Trek (Klingon weapon), but that doesn't seem to be it.

Ustlear doesn't really have much skill with it but it IS a traditional Aslan weapon, so I thought he should have one. He has Melee (dew claw) 1, so with this weapon he has the equivalent of Melee 0. I have humanized Ustlear a lot, but I wanted to keep some of the Aslan about him and using the Crescent Sword seemed like a good compromise. It is seen as the weapon of a warrior, so most Aslan warriors would have one.

Here are the stats on the weapon:

Taleryu (Crescent Blade)
Damage: 2d6+4
Mass: 0.5 kg
Skill: Melee (blade) (Ustlear skill is Melee 0 with this weapon)
He also bought it with the Static feature (Vibroblade) which means it ignores the first 2 points of armour.
His strength of 10 also gives him a +1 DM to hit and damage.

I'll post a picture tomorrow.

I'm not sure I'm picturing this correctly... do I need a tool of some kind to open this?

Yes, it is very similar in type to what Dave Bowman uses in 2001 to open the door to Hal's Brain. It's basically a socket wrench head with a "t" handle on it, that engineers carry. The door is shut by two bolts...

OK, I have just decided that the wrenchy-thing is called a LOCK-TEE.

Hopefully one of the people in the room was a maintenance tech.

Also, KoT is it possible that such a common item would be included in the normal tools included with a Vacc Suit? Just asking???!!!

We seem to be outpacing Jame!

He hasn't posted since Friday, so we need to give him a chance do get involved before we go too much further into this situation.

May I suggest no more posts until Jame posts (including the consequences of my grenade?).

THANX

No, this is a maint specific tool. Like what you would spring an avionics hatch on a Scout Courier with.

Are you committing to firing the Plasma Grenade?

Yep, right over that bastard's shoulder!

Do you have CSC for the effects? If not, I can post them later. (At work right now, so I don't have them on hand either, just the basic damage)
