Yes. My thought was I'd dial down the bio- and nanotech, but the THS solar system seems well fleshed, the events timeline seems compatible (if less apocalyptic than Twilight) and there are a number of readymade vehicles and tech I like. Also the flavor is less merc combat, more mysterious intrigue.


I would agree with the nanotech. The biotech - well, that only doesn't fly on Earth, and less so on Tirane. The Tirane-ans (what IS their plural?) are going along with it to keep ties with Earth.

Most of the colonies would keep the biotech, at least "safe" biotech, simply as a matter of survival.

As Anders noticed, much of the tech in Fluid Mechanics is compatible with 2300.

Poseidon itself would have to be moved, however. It orbits Lambda Serpentis. I don't think "Name of Names" would take too kindly to monkeys colonizing one of his worlds. :)

Gatecrashing would be one way of circumventing the 7.7 limit. Might be kinda fun to put all the Gates in the Kafer Sphere.
