Has anyone tinkered with adjusting the ranges of stutterwarp a bit? What happens if you bump up the range by half a light year, for example?

I'm assuming that it's really easy to do this in astrosynthesis, and one of these days I'm going to get that app...

As you bump up the range, more systems become interconnected. If you went to 10ly for example a LOT of systems can be reached from a lot of others, and that REALLY breaks down the arms. You just end up with a web instead of separate arms.

So if I wanted more of a web (what? blasphemy!) I could get away with a cap of around 10 ly?

I was just looking at some old articles about GDW's ideas for a Stutterwarp2 that would have a range of 11LY.

Sure, but don't expect it to be particularly easy to map :)
