I don't know whether anyone has seen the furore over Chaosium's attempt to subvert the concept of the OGL with their BRP "NOGL" this week. Well, I've given up on it because the authors are clearly evading the searching questions being asked by all the people who know a bit about how a real OGL works. However, a positive not is that I've had a second, and much deeper look at the Legend OGL - mostly as a result of Chaosium's relentless
FUD campaign about it being
somehow dodgy and legally invalid. To the extent that I'm now working on a couple of Legend OGL ideas, one an entry-level D100 fantasy game, and the second a similarly slim SF game inspired by the old
Worlds of Wonder Future*World game of interstellar exploration using gates instead of FTL ships.
